EATING OUT AT THE RESTAURANT

W   -       Good midday madams, welcome to the “Spring”.
C.C. -       Hi. Do you have a table for three?
W.   -       Yes, of course. Right this way please.
A    -       Thank you.
W   -       Okay. Here’re your menus. Can I get some drinks started for you?
C.C. -       Yes, I’ll have a pineapple juice, please.
W   -       What would you like madam?
C.S. -       I’ll have a water for now. Do you have mineral water?
W   -       Yes madam. We do. And you, madam?
A    -       I think  I’m going to have a cola.
W   -       Okay great.

Some time later ...
W    -       Are you ready to order now?
C.C.  -       Yeah. I’ll have the spring salad.
W    -       Great and for you madam?
C.S.  -       Uh, I want to have the beef Steak.
W    -       How would you like that cooked ?
C.S. -       Uh, Make it very well.
W    -       Okay madam, and for you?
A     -       I’ll have the onion omelette.
W    -       Great, I come back immediately.

An hour later ...
C.C.  -       Can we have our check please?
            W    -       Of course madam. Just a moment.
A     -       Okay, thanks. Does this total include tax?
W    -       It does madam. Will you be paying with cash or credit card?
C.S.  -       Credit.
W    -       Okay. Can I have your signature here on the bottom   please?
C.S.  -       Sure.
W    -       Okay. Thank you very much for visiting us. Have a good afternoon.
C.C.  -       You too.
A     -       Thanks.
W    -       Good bye.
C.S. -       Bye.

At the restaurant

- Hello Sir, how can I help you?
- Hello, is there a table for one ?
- Yes sir, follow me

- Excuse me, Are you ready to order?
- Yes sir, I’ll have raviolis.
- Okay, and what do you want to drink?
- I’ll have a coke.
- Okay sir, in ten minutes the food will be ready.
Some time later…
- How were the raviolis  , sir?
- The food was so delicious, but I’m still a bit hungry,  what do you have for desserts?
- Thanks sir.  For dessert we have ice creams, we have yogurts,  fruits…
- I’ll have an apple.
Some seconds later…
- Here you have the apple sir.
- Thanks.
Some minutes later
- Okay, Let me check I took your order correctly. There is a raviolis dish, a coke and an apple,. Is that right?
- Yes, certainly.
- So the bill will be 8 pounds sir.
- Oh! I don’t have any money in my wallet. Luckily, I have my credit card.
- The waiter charges the money from the card)… Okay everything is correct sir.
- Thanks for all, good bye.
Some seconds later
- Excuse me sir, you ‘ve just left your jacket!
- Oh thank you!
- You’re welcome.

Josep:  Good evening sir,
Joel:Welcome to the restaurant.
Josep:Hi. Do you have a table for one?
Joel: Yes. It’s this one, sir
Josep:Thanks
Joel: Here’s your menu. Can you get you some drinks?
Josep: Yes, Ok an orange juice please.
Joel: OK. One minute

Joel: Here you are your crisps and the orange juice.
Josep: Thanks.
Joel: Are your ready to order now?
Josep: Yes, I think so. What’s the dish of the day?
Joel: It is the salad with a lot of vegetables.
Josep: Ok, I’ll have one of this.
Joel: And for the main course?
Josep: A fillet steak with jacket potatoes please.
Joel: Thank you.

C - Certainly. You can sit here.
A - Ok.
C - Here are your menu. Today’s special is Garlic soup.
A - Thank you very much.

Then...
C - Are you ready to order?
A - Yes, I think so. I’ll have macarronis and fillet steak.
C - Ok.

Some time later...
C - Here are your soup.
A - Thank you.
C - Excuse me, this soup is a bit cold.
A - I’m sorry, I’ll change it for you.

The desserts:
C - Have you already finished?
     A - Yes.
     C - Do you want any desert?
A - No, I prefer just a black coffee, please.
C - Ok.

Later...
C -  Your coffee madam.
A - Thank you.

The bill:
A - Sorry, can I have the bill please?
C - Yes, one moment please. Here you are.
A - Thank you. Here you are.
C - The change.
A - Thank you.
C - Good night.
A - Bye.

- Yes, I’ll have the pizza nº 1, please.
- And for you sir?
- Erm.. I’ll have the pizza nº 2, please.
- And for drink?
- Erm... A coke please.
- And you sir?
- I’ll have some water.
- Anything else?
- No, thank you.
- Ok. I’ll be right back.
...

- The water is for you and the coke, for you.


- Ok. The pizza nº 1 is for you and the other, for you. Have a nice meal.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.

Later:


- Would you like dessert?
- Yes. I want an orange.
- Ok.... And you sir?
- Nothing. I’m rather full actually.


- Excuse me, can we have the bill please?
- Here you are sir.
- Thank you very much. Erm…is service included?
- Yes sir, ten percent on the total.

- Waiter, can you go here please?
- Yes. What happened?
- Erm… what’s this, we didn’t order coffee. I don’t know why it’s on the bill.
- I’ll check that sir, just a moment.

- I’m sorry about that sir, the coffee was added from another table by mistake. Here’s the correct bill.
- That’s fine, thanks.

- I’m sorry, those tables are reserved.
- How about over there in the windows?
- Certainly.
- Ah... Could you get me the menu, please?
- Sure …
-  Can we have three cokes, please?
- Of course.
 

- Are you ready to order now?
- I would like the spaghetti, please.
- I will have today’s special.
- I will have a salad with Italian dressing.
- Very well.  ...   Any soup or starter?
- I will start with the fish soup.
- So will I.
- Me too.
- I am afraid we haven’t got any fish soup left. But I can recommend the onion soup.
- No, thank you.  Have you got chicken soup?
- Yes, of course. What will you have for main course?
- I will have steak.
- How would you like your steak cooked?
- Medium, please.
- I will have steak too.
- Medium, like her?
- Yes, thank you.
- I will have fish and chips.
