Dear Student,

Do you feel embarrassed when you try to speak English in front of others? How difficult is it for you to understand English language movies and TV programmes? Maybe you are a good English reader, but not a great English speaker.

If this is so, it is because most native speakers use casual conversational English when they speak to each other. In real conversations, speakers use abbreviations, lots of idioms and at a different speed (faster than we are used to!).
