+ Yes, of course. We enjoyed a lot.

- Yes. But the weather wasn't very good.

+ But the trip in general was good.

 

- Do you remember in which hostel did we stay?

+Yes, it was... Generator Hostel London.

- Oh, yes. Now I remember it. The hostel in general was good but the breakfast was a bit repetitive.

+ Which thing of London did you like most?

- Mmmm.... The Madame Tussaud's, I suppose. And you?

+ Probably, it was the London Eye.

- Yes, this was fascinating.

+ Did you buy something in London?

- Yes. I bought some souvenirs for my family, and some clothes too. And you?

+ Yes, of course. I bought some clothes and a present for my cousin.

- And did she like it?

+ Yes, a lot!

THE LONDON EYE

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River  Thames  in London England. The entire structure is 135 metres tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres. Is the most popular attraction in London, visited by over 3 million people annually. When erected in 1999 it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world

HARRODS

Harrods is an supermarket, a department store located in Brompton road in knightsbridge, in the royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.  Harrods in 1922 and closed as of 2011, and now was reopened in 2013.  The UK's second-biggest shop with quality and luxury goods. The Harrods motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique. All Things for All People, Everywhere.

THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT

The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place of the House of commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Commonly known as the Houses of Parliament after its tenants, the Palace lies on the Middlesex bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London. In 1834 was destroyed by fire and the new palace it’s rebuilt in 1840-1870.

TOWER BRIDGE

Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name. It has become an iconic symbol of London. The bridge consists of two towers tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers.

- The London underground, we spend a lot of time there!

- You're right; do you know the London underground was the first subway of the world?

- We had a very good time in the London Eye.

- The London Eye is one of the biggest viewpoint-wheel in the world.

- We saw the Houses of Parliament in the Thames Crosser.

- Yes, here is where meet the parliamentarians of the UK.

- Tower Bridge has two walkways that can be raised to an angle of 86

degrees to allow river traffic to pass.

- That's amazing

- In the Tower of London is where the crown jewels are saved.

- Right! I'd like to enter in it.

- British Museum, I really enjoy visiting it!

- Me, too. There was really amazing things from all cultures of the world.

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames in London, England. It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom. Oxford Street is a major street in London, England, located in the City of Westminster, and one of the world's most famous streets for shopping. With more than 300 hundred stores, is the largest shopping street in the world.

Is on Queen Elisabeth live. If the Queen is the inside there a two guards, she isn’t inside there a four guards. Is of the few royal palaces remaining in the world with assets. Precious it, and if you go and do not  miss the changing of the guard.

The British Museum is a museum in London dedicated to human history and culture. Its permanent collection, numbering some eight million works, is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence and originates from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present.

It's the official residence of the Queen and the Royal Family when they are in London. The Changing of the Guard takes place in front of the Palace. It is in the very centre of London, near St.Jame's Park.

It is in the centre of London. is the famous clock tower near the Houses of Parliament. it is the seat of British Parliament. it is near the Thames and BigBen.

It is a famous bridge on the river Thames, near the Tower of London. this is the lowest bridge over the Thames. the bridge can open so ships can pass under it.

it is a big wheel near the Thames. it has been  in London since 2000 for the new millenium. it's almost 150mt high.

it is a street famous for shopping.it is in the very centre of London. here you can find all kinds of shops.

it is a museum where you can see wax statues of famous people from the past but also today's pop stars, film stars, sport stars.

it's one of the most important museums in the world. it contains rich collections of things from all over the world. I'd like to see a mummies and -Egyptian art.

it is an art gallery in trafalgar square where you can see many famous painting for example by Leonardo da vinci or van gogh.

it is a square in the very centre of London. it is dedicated to nelson's victory over Napoleon or Trafalgar in 1805. in it there are two fountains, the national gallery and nelson's column. there are four statues of lions.

it is a very old church. kings and queens of england are crowned here.

THE TRIP OF LONDON

-       Do you remember the trip of London?

-       Yes, it was awesome. I will never forget it.

-       The first day in London we stayed in Piccadilly Circus. Do you remember the shops there?

-       Yeah, I bought a lot of things.

-       We also visited Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery.

-       And do not forget the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament!

-       Oh yes, we visited them in the afternoon.

-       The second day we visited one of the most important museums in London.

-       The British Museum.

-       Then we went to Covent Garden to have lunch.

-       After lunch we went to the Transport museum.

-       In the afternoon we saw the famous Tower of London and we went for a walk along the River Thames bank.

-       The third day we went to the Buckingham Palace and we could see the changing of the guard.

-       Me too, then we went for a walk in Saint James’ Park and we arrived at the Cathedral of Westminster.

-       In the afternoon we had a cruise for the River Thames and we went to the London Eye. The views were amazing!

-       In the evening we saw Regent’s Street, Coventry and Charing Cross. At night we saw the heart of London and China town.

-       The fourth day we visited the Camden Town Market.

-       Then we went to the famous Madame Tussaud’s Museum.

-       There we could take photos with a lot of famous people.

-       We also saw the monument of Sherlock Holmes

-       And we went for a walk along the Oxford Street.

-       The fifth day we stayed in Hyde Park.

-       After there we went to the London Museum.

-       In the afternoon we visited the famous Saint Paul’s Cathedral.

-       Then we saw the Shakespeare Globe Theatre.

-       Finally we visited the Tate modern and in the evening we stayed in Trafalgar square.

-       And then we went for a walk in Soho, Piccadilly and Leicester Square.

-       The sixth day we visited the Natural History Museum.

-       And then the Museum of the Science.

-       We stayed at Harrods.

-       And finally we went to the theatre Dominion and we could see the musical “We will rock you” 

-       The seventh day we visited the Stadium of Wembley.

-       It was really great!

-       Then we went to Greenwich. There we could visit the Royal Observatory and the Greenwich Meridian.

-       After lunch we went shopping in Oxford Street.

-       And then we went to the hostel to pack.

-       The eighth day we saw the latest London market in Notting Hill.

-       Then we returned to Les Borges Blanques.

-       This trip has left us with many fond memories and desire to return there.

-       London, see you soon!

Our stay in London - by Timea & Laura

Hello! We are Laura and Timea. Two months ago we went to London in a school trip, and now we are going to tell you what we did there.

Every morning we took the underground to get to the different places which we want visit, line Covent Garden.

We also visit Trafalgar Squere, there is the National Gallery wich is a museum of art, and the lions of the Nelson Column.

One thing that made us exited was see the Big Ben because is very popular monument, and all the people know it.

Something typical of there, are the taxis and buses which are completely diferent from ours.

New the Big Ben is the London eye, you can see a spectacular views.

One day we went in a turistic boat, sailing in the Thames river and we pass under the London Bridge. But we also walked along the bridge and take photos all the class together.

Finally we went to the Buckinham palace to see the Changing of the guard.
