- Yes, it was fantastic although some little rain.

- The days we were there, it rained all days but we could visit many places because it was not a heavy rain. And what about here, did you have good weather?
- Yes,  we had very good weather  and it didn't rain at all. When did you arrive of the trip?
- We arrived yesterday but it was a very windy day. Today it is quite warm and I enjoy walking outdoors in such a splendid day.

DIALOGUE 2

M: Hello Larisa.

L: Hello Marta.

M: Nice day today, isn’t it?

L: Yes, it is. It’s a lovely day! But yesterday it was very windy.

M: Yes, it’s true there was a horrible wind.

L: I’m afraid that tomorrow it will be stormy.

M: Yes, while I was having lunch I listened to the weather man saying there would be a big storm tomorrow.

L: Oh no! Tomorrow I must go shopping.

M: I think you will have to stay home.

L: Yes… I hate storms!

M: Me too, I prefer the sun.

L: I like the sun too, but I don’t like very high temperatures.

M: I love the heat! I am always cold…

L: I remember when I was little I wanted to be the ‘’woman of the weather’’. I would inform people of what the weather would be, and so they could plan things that could make those days.

M: It would be nice! Well, before the storm or the rain I’m going to buy another umbrella because I broke it last week.

L: Okay, I’m going to my house because I’m cold and this jacket isn’t any shelter.

M: Okay, see you soon!

- Hello, what’s the weather like?
- Hello, It’s sunny in here, and your town What’s the weather like?
- It’s sunny and cloudy in Omellons.
- Albert, what's your favourite season and why?
- My favourite season is Summer because there isn’t any school lessons, and yours?
- Me too. Summer is a wonderful season. And in winter does it snow in your country?
- Do you mean if it snows in my town?
- Of course.
- No, it doesn’t, although my town is very cold. And yours?
- Yes, in my town, it sometimes snows in winter, and I like it very much.  I sometimes go skiing into the Pyrenees. Do you like skiing?
- Yes, I love skiing, because my parents have taught me skiing since I was a little child.. And we enjoy the open air in the mountains.
- Do you get tornadoes where you are from?
- No, there aren’t.any and what about  your town?
- No in my town there aren’t any  tornadoes. Do you know what month gets the most rain in your country?
- I think it is in October. And in your town ?
- I think it is in April or May. And when it rains, it rains cats and dogs!
- Really? In my town the rain is not as heavy as in your town.

Talking About the Weather - by Ferran Llobet & Sergi Quintana



DIALOGUE 2
-  Sergi! How was your trip to London?
-  It was fantastc. London is a very beautiful place.
-  And what was the weather like in London?
-  The weather was variable. Some days were sunny and cloudy others were  rainy.
-  How many days did you spend in London?
-  I was nine days there, but most of them were cloudy and rainy. The temperature was about five degrees centigrade.
- Buff…it is very very cold. Yesterday we had 15 degrees here! It’s not the same.
- I missed the warm days in Puiggros
- Fortunatelly the hotel was fantastic. There was central heating everywhere.
- Did you need the heating at night in London?
- Yes, I have even seen some people wearing anoraks at midday. One day we had 5 degrees.
-Gosh!
- It’s late and I’m tired and I will have to run because it seems that it’s going to rain.Goodbye!
- Bye, bye.
- Sergi your bags!... You’ve left them!
- Oh!...yes!...thank you!... I’ve been vague since I have arrived.

- Good night, today in Britain the weather was cold.

- On Friday morning, in London, it’s going to be cloudy.
- And the temperature  will be cold, ten degrees more or less.
- In the afternoon and at night it will be rainy.
- And the temperature’s going to be mild cold too.  
- On Saturday morning it will be stormy. - And the temperature’s going to be hotter than Friday, around thirteen degrees.
- In the afternoon and at night there was some moisture in the air. The temperature backs down.
- In the morning, it’s going to be foggy, because at night there were some storms. - The temperature backs down, too.
- In the afternoon the temperature’s going to be cold.
- And this is all. Generally the temperatures are going to be quite cold, so you have to dress with winter clothes.

·     - Hi Sònia! How did the race go?
·   - Hello Maria! I couldn’t run...
·   - Oh, I’m so sorry. Why?
·   - Because the weather was so bad. It started to rain an hour before the race.
·   - The weather is strange  lately. We will get crazy because of  the climate change and we never know what the weather would be like.
·   - Yes, but this problem is due to our pollution. I think we need to  change this. Do you rembember when we had very cold weather in autumn and now it is still summer at the end of october. I remember to premier the new jacket for Halloween!
·   - Yes, I rembember it! And in summer, we can’t go to the beach every day. But now, the weather forecast is more accurated than some years ago.
·   - It’s true! I rembember when the weather man said: “Tomorrow  will be cold!” and in this same day was hot.
·   - Yes… Today is sunny. Can you come and have an ice cream with me?
     - Yes, let’s go now! Because it will probably be cold  in a couple days.

- Yes,  every day was so sunny that even temperatures went up and some families used the swimming track again. Would you like to go back to Australia again?
- Yes, but I would check the time before in the internet or on TV because I have not watched this time. I am so tired  I have to go to have a shower and to sleep soon.

Alícia: Hello
Ioana: Hi
...(a few seconds later)...
Alícia: Hum... What do you think about the weather?
Ioana: Today i’ts warm, but last weekend it was too hot.
Alícia: Oh, yes! We are at the end of october, and it’s not so common to have this high temperature in those days... I think it is due to the climate change.
Ioana: You’re right. I was on holidays skiing, so I didn’t know it was so hot here. Some friends told me that it was 45 degrees centigrades.
Alícia: Yes, that’s true. And how was the weather like in your holidays?
Ioana: It was quite cold, I’m not sure exactely how many degrees we had, bUt I think there were about -2 degrees.
Alícia: Oh, that’s too cold. I prefer higher temperatures.
Ioana: Me too. But I love skiing.
Alícia: And do you remember that big hailstorm in Juneda last year? It spoiled lots of crops!
Ioana: Oh yes! It was terrible. But.. I have to go now, my mother is waiting for me in front of the library. Goodbye, see you soon.

-In Les Borges it’s cold and cloudy. And in your town?
-In my town it’s rainy and windy, but sometimes is snowy.

-Yes i like too but some days it’s boring because always it’s the same.
-Ok, what’s you favorite season?
-It’s winter  because i born in this season and my parents give me a lot of presents. And you?
-I like winter too because I can go to sky and like snow.
