GIVING DIRECTIONS BY MARIA MELIS AND SÒNIA SANS

Dialogue 6

·  Excuse me, can you tell me where the Hollister shop is, please?
· Hollister, emm what is it?
· It's a clothes shop like Abercrombi & Fitch. The brand sign is a kind of bird ...
· Oh, yes, I think it's this way. Go ahead and you'll find it.
· Can you tell me some more, please?
· Yes, of course, I think it's probably this street, right in front of the GAP shop.
· Ohhh! Ok. So well! thanks very much.
· You're welcome, bye!
· Goodbye.

DIALOGUE 8

- Hi Laura!
- Oh! hello Xènia.
- Have you got some  minutes to explain me the trip?
- Yes of course, my parents still take a while.
- Ok, let's go and seat down here.
- Ok.
- How was the trip?
- It was fantastic! I like it a lot.
And explain me more things ...
-  Well, ... the first day we arrived in Glasgow and we started to visit the city and ended the day in a shopping centre. We stopped at a street which was full of shops and the teachers told us how to get our hostel from there.
- How many days did you stay in each place?
- We stayed in Glasgow for 3 days and with these three days we visited nearly everywhere we wanted to see.
- After those days everyone was tired and did not want to walk more, although we only walked one day a lot!.
- In Edinburgh we spent there 5 days.
- Did you  like anything in particular?
- Yes, the history of Greyfriars Bobby, a dog who loved his master even when he was dead. It was a Skye Terrier.
- Really?
Greyfriars Bobby became known in 19th-centuryEdinburgh for supposedly spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died himself on 14 January 1872. The story continues to be well known as active oral history in Edinburgh, through several books and films, and became a prominent commemorative statue and nearby graves act as a tourist attraction.
- Oh, my parents have already been there, Well, I have to leave.
- Ok, we'll meet you another day
- Bye
- Bye

DIALOGUE

-Hello Cristina, how was your trip to Scotland?

+Oh very well. It was similar to Mallorca but even better. And you?
-Me too, I prefer the Scotland trip than the Mallorca trip because we had more free time and we visited many interesting places. What's your opinion?
+So am I. I also enjoyed more in Scotland. Do you remember the loch Ness?
-Yes, it's very beautiful, but I think there are more beautiful places to visit and we did other things . Mallorca has beautiful monuments as the  Seu, Esglesia of Santa Eulàlia... It was fantastic, I like it so much!
+Yes! It's amazing all these places.
-What do you prefer, Glasgow or Edimburgh?
+I think that Edimburgh is better than Glasgow because Glasgow it's like a comercial city and Edimburgh is more natural and pinturesque.

A memorable trip by Anna Puig & Laura Cunillera

-Hello Anna, I saw in Facebook that you stayed in Scotland? How was it?
+Oh very well. It was even better than London. And you, what did you go last summer?
-I stayed in Roma. Have you ever stayed here?
+Oh yes! It’s awesome! I was there two years ago. Did you like it?
-Yes, it's more beautiful than some places in London.
+Oh yes! It's amazing all these. When I stayed in Scotland I went shopping to the Hollister shops all the days! In my opinion all places in Scotland are more beautiful than London.
-What do you prefer, Glasgow or Edinburgh?
+I think that Edimburgh is better than Glasgow because Glasgow is a city like Lleida, meanwhile Edimburgh is a city full of wonderful places like Barcelona, and I have always preferred the city of Barcelona than Lleida.
-Jajaja, yes, me too. Well, I’m going to have a dinner. See you later!

Going shopping - Anna Puig & Laura Cunillera

DIALOGUE 6

+Hello!
- Hello, can I help you Miss?
+Excuse me, have you got these trousers in a medium size?
- I don't know, one moment please. Let me just have a look in the stockroom.

+Excuse me, excuse me… I bought these shoes last Thursday, and they really hurt me. I think they’re too big and I’d really like to change them.
- I'm sorry, but we can only change shoes that haven't been worn.
+ But that’s ridiculous. You only know that a pair of shoes isn’t appropriate by wearing them.
- I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do. Our rules are those.
- Bye madam.
- I’m so sorry. Bye.

A memorable trip by Sònia Sans and Maria Melis

By Maria Melis and Sònia Sans

-Hello Maria, how did you stay in Scotland?
+Oh very well, like London but better and you?
-Me too, I prefer Scotland than London because we visited plenty of places, museums, etc. and we had more free time to go shopping and rest. That's my opinion.
+So am I. I agree with you. Do you remember the Edinburgh castle?
-Yes, it's more beautiful than some places of London. However, London has beautiful things as well as the giant wheel of London Eye, Big Ben Tower, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square... and Saint Paul's cathedral! It was fantastic, I liked it so much!
+Oh yes! all those places are amazing. In my opinion all things in Scotland are more beautiful than London.
-Which city do you prefer, Glasgow or Edimburgh?
+I think that Edimburgh is better than Glasgow because Glasgow it's like any comercial city with nice parks but Edimburgh has a natural beauty with its ancient buildings, lovely parks and the sea sight view..
-I agree with you!

My trip to Scotland by Albert Balcells & Eric Lahuerta

We went to visit the Celtics Stadium by bus. While we were waiting for the guided visit to the stadium to be opened, we went to the Celtic souvenir shop to buy some souvenirs. Then we went to the entrance, where the tour began at the stadium and waited for 10 minutes. The guide showed us the room where they had all the trophies and explained us the history of the Celtics, we also saw the museum and then we went to the field, we could sit there on the bench and we took some photos. This Friday, we went together to a typical Scottish pub for lunch. In the afternoon we went shopping and later we went to have a shower and dress ourselves. Later we went walking to the Theatre to watch the musical Grease. There we were given the tickets to each student and we had a wonderful evening singing and dancing. The musical finished in time to have dinner, so we went to have dinner in a Burger King and at 11 we arrived at the hostel and we fell asleep. Later there was a surprise birthday party and we enjoyed eating and chatting altogether.
