AT THE AIRPORT

Security Announcement
For security reasons, please keep your luggage and all packages with you at all times until they are checked. Unattended baggage will be removed immediately for inspection and may be damaged or destroyed.
For security reasons, do not accept packages or bags that do not belong to you.

Security check
-       -Good morning. Can I see your passport and ticket please?
-       -Yes, here you are.
-       -Are you travelling to Canada on business?
-       -No, I’m going to see my relatives. On Saturday it will be the birthday of my cousin.
-       -Oh, ok. Is this your suitcase?
-       -Yes, that’s right.
-       -And did you pack it yourself?
-       -Yes, I packed it yesterday evening.
-       -Uh-huh, and... have it been with you since this morning?
-       -Yes, ... er.. I came straight to the airport by bus.
-       -Right. Are you carrying anything which doesn’t belong to you?
-       -Erm... no, nothing at all.
-       -Okay then. Here is your ticket.
-       -Thanks a lot. Bye!
-       -Have a nice flight!

F: Ei, hello Marc
M: Oh, hi Francesc. We are just on time.
F: Let’s go to check the bags first and we’ll be free for a while.
M: Yes, it is true. Let’s queue this line to Ibiza.
At the check-in desk
S: Good morning, your passports please.
M & F: Yes here they are. And the tickets too.
S: Leave the luggage on the moving belt to weigh
M: Ok. Do they weigh a lot?
S: No, it’s OK. Keep these luggage tickets just in case. And here you have your passports and boarding cards.
M: It’s OK. Thank you very much.
S: Are you going on holidays?
F: Yes, we are going to Ibiza for the first time.
S: Have a nice flight and enjoy your holidays a lot.

F: Now we can have a coffee over there.
M: Ok. Let’s go there. There is an empty table next to the plant.
S: What do you want to have?
M: I’ll have a coffee and a ham sandwich.
F: And I’ll have a Coke and a croissant.
S: Is that all?
M: Yes, it is. How much is it?
S: It’s 15’50 $, please.
F: Can I pay by credit card?
S: Of course.
F: Here you have.
S: Thank you very much: Enjoy your meal!

F: Oh, watch out! We have to leave. We have to cross Passport control and see which gate we are boarding.
M: Ok. Let’s go. A wonderful trip is waiting for us.!

- Yes, here you are.
- Are you travelling to London on a school trip?
- Yes, We want to visit the Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Big Ben... And to practise English, too.
-Oh! Great you can choose a lot. London’s a beautiful place to visit.  ……
- Are these your suitcases?
- Yes, that’s right.
-And did you pack them yourselves?
- Yes, we packed them 2 hours ago.
- Uh-Huh, and....er....have they been with you since this morning?
-Yes, of course.
-Right. Are you carrying anything which doesn’t belong you? Erm... has anyone given you a pack or anything to take to London?
-Erm... No, I haven’t.
-Okay, then.
-Erm... here your tickets are. Remember your boarding gate is 45. Ok? Have a nice flight.
-Thank you. Er.... where do I go now?
-Just follow the line Sir. You have to go to security check and passport control over there.
-Thank you, and afterwards, I have to look for gate 45, alright?
-Yeah, That’s right. Enjoy the trip!

-No, the flight is on time at the moment.

-       Erm..., its half past three.

-       Oh, OK, thanks you. My flight leaves at five o’clock.
-       Are you flying to Spain?
-       Yes, I do. I’m going to Barcelona.
-       Oh, what a coincidence! I also go to Barcelona. What airline are you flying?
-       My airline is Air Europe. And yours?
-       My airline is Iberia. Are you travelling to Barcelona on business?
-       No, I am travelling to Barcelona because I want to do a cruise for the Mediterranean Sea. It’ll be very interesting.
-       Oh! It’s a fantastic idea. I did a cruise last summer. It was great!
-       And you, Are you travelling to Barcelona on business?
-       Yes, I have an important meeting in Barcelona.

-       Excuse me, what’s your name?
-       My name is Justin. And you, what’s your name?

I live in L'albagés , a little village from Lleida.

I study in Les Borges , at the high school Ins Josep Vallverdú.

My favourite subject is (P.E:) physical education, but I don't like maths.

My favourite colour is blue and my favourite number is 7.

My hobbies are playing football and computer games.

I also like listening to music and watching TV.

My favourite team is FCB and I admire Lionel Messi.

A telephone conversation in an office.
-         Lleida-Alguaire airport, tell me.
-          Hello, Id like to reserve a ticket to London, on the 7th of november, at 9 o’clock, please.
-          Ok, that’s right.
-          Is this a direct flight or does it stopover?
-          It is a direct flight from Lleida-Alguaire to London.
-          Wonderful. How long is the flight?
-          It takes 2 hours.
-          Ok, if I just have a carry on, do I have to go to the check-in desk?
-          No, it is not necessary if the suitcase has the right size. You can go ahead to Passport control. But remember if you are carrying excess luggage, you’ll have to pay a lot.
-          I see. I would also like an aisle seat, if it is possible because I like to move during the flight. But if it is not possible a window seat is also a good option.
-          The flight leaves from terminal 1 in Lleida-Alguaire airport.
-          Ok. Thank you very much.
