A trip to Scotland: the third day of the trip- Helena Quer,& Judit Capell

THE THIRD DY OFA THE TRIP

The third day in Scotland, we started a tour for the Highlands and all the north of Scotland with the driver and guide Ivonne . She was the person who was in charge of explaining the day by day all the stories, legends, anecdotes of all the places that we visited.
It was our first day of the tour: We started visiting the famous Forth Rail Bridge, a railway bridge of the end of the century XIX, a miracle of engineering and now threre are two new bridges called, the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Grossing. after that stop, we continue towards Dunkeld, the heard of  Macbeth were we visited its huge Cathedral beside the river Tay and the town. Then we visited the Tay Forest Park, a natural park with amazing areas of nature, and Hermitgge Fall, one big fall near the Roman Bridge. Later, we followed our way towards Inverness, to a distillery of Whisky, which was Tomatin Whisky Destillery. There, there were a guide who was waiting for us to make our visit along all the distillery. Next, we passed through the area of showy mountains till we arrived to a prehistoric site of Cairngons and we visited there the Clava Cairns, three funerary camaras of the age of bronze that they have expectional conservation.
In this poetic places we admred the first " hairy coos" the furry cows of the highlands. Later, we went to visit the visitor center of Culloden and the big mysterious and solitary field where it took place the big battle of Culloden Batlefield at 1746 were the English soldiers defeated the Scottish ones. This was the last stop before arriving to Inverness, the first place where we slept and the capital of the Highlands. There we went for a walk along the main streets of the city, for example streets like  Hight Street until the river Ness where we visited the singular bridge for the pedestrians Greig Street Footbridge, and Inverness Castle.

A trip to Scotland - Fourth day by: Carlota Egea, Júlia Font and Eva Bosch

A TRIP TO SCOTLAND - FOURTH DAY OF TOUR

The fourth day we left Brandford to Armadale town and we took a ferry from the Island of Skye Towards Mallaig. We visited that small fisherman town and went towards the Glenfinnan mountains with amazing views. We went to visit the Glenfinnan Monument and the famuous Glanfinnan via duct which is a famuous bridge because it was in the Harry Potter film. 
From here we admired the snowy mountains, rangers where there is Ben Nevis. We could see a landscape full of clouds that were reflectet in the still waters. From here we went to Fort William, and towards the mountain ranges of Glencoe, very steep mountains, one of the most beatiful places of Scotland, where there were the massacre of 1692 at the time of Jacobinism and where 38 members of the McDonald's clan were killed in Glencoe while they were sleeping in their tents and more than 40 women and children died while fleeing og their houses that had been burned outdoors in the cold. In fact, it is know as the valley of weeping. It has been chosen to record a lot of films for it's rugged and sad landscape. Here we went for a walk down the valley. There were a lot of dees grazing in  freedom. We could see a lot of streams which went down the river coe, situated in the middle of the valley of three sisters. 
After that week, we ended to a very famuous village of fisherman called Oban with its important port and its incredible breathtaking sunset.

3rd tour

Aina: We went from Inverness to Sky island. During this day we could see a lot of wild sheeps, deers, cows, horses ... in the fields of the Highlands

Xènia: We saw many lochs, some snowed mountains and lots of snow landskapes. The weather was cheanging all the time. In some moments it was rainning, other moments were sunny and the firts day we arrived, it was snowing.

Alba: The firts stop was in Eilean Donan Castle. It is between the Loch Dulch, there we could see lots of magnific typicals Scottish flowers. After that we arrived to Skye Island.

Aina: We did a tour for the island, we saw lochs, mountains, valleys, rivers and magnific waterfalles.

Xènia: At the firts stop, we saw hairy coows, the typical cows of Scotlan.

Alba: After that we stopped in Slgachan River in the Cullinin Mountains, a Roman Bridge on a river with small waterfalles, rocks and steams.

Aina: The legend says that the person who puts the face inside the water for 7 seconds, would have eternal beauty.

Xènia: After this, we wnt to Portee, a little fishermen village which have some beautifull colorated house, and also it have some heathtaking ingreible landskapes.

Alba: After lunch we went to the Noth of the island where we visited firts the Lealt Falls waterfalls and some cliffs too.

Aina: We follow the tour along the Old Man of Storr Mountains and directed to stop at Straffaind and Kilt Rock, we coud see the typical views of Scotland: cliffs, waterfalls and the sea.

Xènia: The kilt Rock which has the shape of thetypical famous Scottish skirt. The views from there were amazing. It forms a famous waterfalls, which water falls into the ocean.

Alba: Walked to the top of the mountain, were there was a famous Highland Castel and lot of ship too.

Aina: We arrived to Quiraing, a magical paceful landskape where the views permited us to see the ocean. Also, this desertic place was the perfect site for "Lord of Rings" movie.

Xènia: The next stop was Dun Beag Broch a Neolitic construccion situated at the top of a hill with magnificient views to see Loch Bracadale.

Aina: Finally we finished this 3rd day tour in a little town called Broadford. It was the last town before leaving, the Skye Island.

A TRIP TO SCOTLAND 2018 5th DAY



We left Oban to continue our tour, founding fields with sheeps and cows until the Kilchurn Castle, situated in a extraordinary place from where we saw the Loch Awe. We took some photos in an singular and unusual place to continue the tour to callander, a small village famous for the bakery, when we stopped to have lunch. We also stopped in The Trossachs where we has the oppportunity to see and give food to the last hairy coos. From here we left to words Stir ling, Wallance. From here you can see an espectacular view of the Stirling city and where we could visit the museus dedicated to this hero, his scuord, but if you want an amazing view that, you must go up 246 stairs to the top of the tower. Later we went to The Helix park in Falking where is the bigest scuplptor in he world, The Helpies, heards of horses of 30 metres high and with thousands of piciesof stainless steel each one, that it was inagurated in 2014 and it's called Kelpies Horse Monuments, too. Finally, we went to the Edimburgh Airoprt, where we stayed 12 hours, until arrive at les Borges Blanques at 2 p.m. with a lot of experiences and good vibes to explain to our friends and families.

FRIST DAY IN SCOTLAND


We went to Barcelona at 5:45 then we take the flait at 11 o'clock and we arrived at Edinburgh at 13 o'clock. It was snowing and we take a bus and go to the middle of the city.

Frist of all we went to the apartament and we went to have a walk to the Royal Mile. We visitedthe cathedral of the Saint James and the amazing castle of Edinburgh. After that we went walking to the Tartan weaving a famous factory were theymake the Scotish skirt. Later we went to have a walk in the streets of thecentre of the city to the statue of Bobby Greyfriars, a dog which was so loyal to his master. Next we went to the Nattional Museum of Scotland were you can find inventions of all around the world, like the clocks, rockets... And the frist clonated sheep of the world: Dolly.We finished the day going shopping and having a drink in the Starbucks near our apartament.

The 2nd day we left Inverness to skirt the left bank of the lake Ness until Drumnadrochit we stopped to visit Lake Ness or Loch Ness, there is a copy of Nessie and from where we take a cruise that take us by the lake to the Castle of Urquhart, where we went down to visit it.
Ho, very famous for it location next to Lake Ness. We followed the path to the north make several stops in different singular places, full of streams and water falls. We visited the Rogie Falls and a suspension bridge from where there is a privileged view. We continue to the Corrieshalloch Gorge Nature Reserve, a spectacular ravine A large salt of water is seen that forms when the Droma river go down by that valley From the lookout, there is a footbridge that leaves you in the middle of it, a great height and you can see the water fall. To finish the day we visited the Glascarnoch Dam, a huge dam that makes of containment in the lake area of the Highlands. From here we went back to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, to Visit the Inverness Cathedral and shop at it center historical and tourist. Upon arriving, we went to the end of a parade with dozens of people with the relevant Scottish skirts marching through the city center to the beat of the music of bagpipes and drums.

A TRIP TO SCOTLAND 2018. SECOND DAY


TOTES: Hello, our name are Ivet, Anna and Alba. We explain the
second day on Edinburgh of teh trip to Scotland.

LAIA: On the second day, we visited a completely different city,
we visited the Royal Mile. We walked to  the Holyrood area at the
end of the Royal Mile where there is a unique building

IVET: The Scottish Parliament, which stands out as a modern
nowadays icon of the Catalan architect Enric Miralles.

ALBA: We could visit and sit in the hemicycle of the Scottish Parliament,
which was a great experience.

ANNA: Next, we visited the official residence of the Queen,
the Holyroodhouse Palace, which was in the same area,
and all its royal rooms, the abbey and the gardens.

LAIA: After that we visited some museums. The Edinburgh Museum
preserve some antique objects from many centuries ago.

ALBA: The People’s Story Museum shows how working people lived
in the past. And the Childhood Museum preserve some antique toys,
since they were invented.

ANNA:In the afternoon, we visited Princess Street where there is the
Walter Scott Memorial, a monument devoted to all the Scots.

IVET: Then, we went to Calton Hill where there is a magnificent
view of the Skyline of Edinburgh.

LAIA: We visited the National Monument, the Nelson Monument and
the Dugald Steward Monument.

ALBA: Finally we went shopping in Princess Street. At night we
visited Victoria Street and Grassmarket, an area of pubs and discos.
